Taylor Spreitler was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on October 23. While born in Hattiesburg her heart was in her hometown of Wiggins, Mississippi. Taylor shares her hometown with daytime legend Anthony Herrera who played James Stenbeck on AS THE WORLD TURNS and the charismatic Boyce Holleman who starred in THE PONDER HEART.
After winning a statewide talent and beauty contest at the age of six, she went on to compete at the national level in Pennsylvania. Taylor won the competition and afterwards she and her mom were approached by several agents from New York who happened to be judging that very week. The following summer Taylor, her mom, and big sister “Sam” hit the big city of New York. Their first venture was into the world of print work. She ended up booking ads for Sak’s, Macy’s, Lands End, Avon, McAlls Brides, Parents and Junior magazine. Taylor also landed the coveted Child Magazine cover.
After a few summers worth of modeling Taylor expressed a desire to try acting. The first commercial she was sent out on, a national for Motrin, she ended up booking. It didn’t take long before she booked for Jif, Hess Oil, Chuck E. Cheese, Pediacare, and a few others. She also shot promos for MTV & NBC.
Taylor is also a singer. She sang to a world-wide audience during a pre-game show for the AXA Liberty Bowl on ESPN. In mid 2009 Taylor’s singing talent was called again as she sang Amazing Grace in the poignant funeral scene for Baby Grace.
Taylor’s first television role was a guest-starring role on Law & Order SVU playing Chloe Sellers, with special guest star Martin Short, in the episode PURE.
January 2009 Taylor began her journey playing Mia McCormick on Days of Our Lives. A troubled young teen- pregnant and woefully seeking the right home for her precious baby. In July 2009 Soap Opera Digest named Taylor as one of the Hottest Newcomers.
